A city bus. Very few people. The bus driver is humming a little tune. Bess sits reading a Metro newspaper.

BUS DRIVER: 4th and Walnut next.

BESS: That song you were humming…?

BUS DRIVER: Yes.

BESS: You just saved my life.

Bess hopes off the bus and walks down the street. The bus driver watches her. He wonders what he’s done. He goes over the tune in his head again to locate the life giving property. It’s amazing what we can do for people by being our most authentic self.
